Lyndal Howison is a local mum, public school teacher and Ryde Councillor who has called North Ryde home for more than 13 years.
Lyndal and her family have built their lives in the Ryde community, raising their daughter locally and becoming deeply involved in the schools, sporting clubs and community organisations that make the area such a great place to live.
As a public school teacher, Lyndal has spent her career helping young people reach their potential and understands the challenges facing local families. She has seen firsthand the importance of strong public services, quality education, accessible healthcare and reliable public transport.
Elected to Ryde Council in 2024, Lyndal has built a reputation as a hardworking and approachable local representative who listens to the community and gets things done. She is passionate about ensuring Ryde has the infrastructure and services needed to support a growing population while protecting the qualities that make the area special.
Lyndal is a strong advocate for better schools, improved public transport, quality healthcare and practical solutions to cost-of-living pressures. She is proud to support the delivery of major investments in local education, including new schools in Macquarie Park and Melrose Park, upgrades to existing schools, and Ryde’s first public preschool.
Having come within just 54 votes of winning Ryde at the last election, Lyndal remains committed to being a strong voice for local residents and ensuring the community’s concerns are heard.
